I encourage you to go in to see your bank. That is what they are there for, to provide you solutions that you may not of thought of. If people saw there bankers more often they would be much more financial fit. We go see professionals for annual check ups our health, cars, and a lot of other areas of our life but we tend not to for one of the most important things, Finances.

Examples of ideas that could potentially be available restructor your current mortgage, Loan’s, Low rate cards, or out of the box thinking, example if you have a whole life insurance policy, you can actually borrow off of it. But dont worry about figuring it out yourself, let the professional figure it out. Just make sure your banker is a good one and start going once a year for a check up, investments, credit, rates, etc.

These large news conglomerates all skirt around the issues and are vague. They tend to show minorities; they generally don’t show all-American students in trouble. They tend to censor the fact that some student loans require students to pay $800 a month; that loans triple with interest; that a student cannot wipe out their debt even if a student files bankruptcy; that some loans are for 20 or 30 years.

Bull! The average student loan debt is more like $50k to $60k.
Go to school, get a worthless piece of paper, $50k+ in debt, and be unemployed!
A system this broken, needs not be salvaged, but replaced.

You don’t see many engineers or doctors complaining about student loan debt; that’s because they are able to pay it back. The former students who want “bail out” were lazy liberal arts majors, spending four years studying philosphy and reading about Nietsche and Kant, and now wondering why an employer could care less.

You’re failing to understand that if we all went to college to be Doctors, that market would be flooded and there would be no jobs there. A healthy society needs, musicians, artists, philosophers and so on. You have to use better critical thinking skills brother, and don’t believe the propaganda you’ve been subjected to. The system is broken and needs fixing, as do a lot of the errors of capitalism..

Sure, you can be a philosopher. You just can’t get a JOB doing that. Employers don’t care if you can talk about philosophy or recite poetry. I don’t think EVERYONE should become a doctor but we need more of them in our nation. We don’t need more people with liberal arts degrees, we have too many of those now.

I don’t know where they get this average debt is $25k bullshit. I went four years and two more for a Masters and it costs $80. I did community college for freshman and sophmore year on pay-as-you-go basis. My last job paid minimum wage doing construction, and I am looking at a factory job. The office jobs are characteristically low-paying temp jobs.

Well , they have got a decent GDP and a high per capita income mixed with a progressive purchasing power and as far as PISA is concerned they are ranked first for education as well as one of the top countries for healthcare and public transport according to the OECD. I actually thought about moving up there at some point. Nice little country that doesn’t waste its money on bailing out banks or leading wars .

Well , lets bring a couple of examples. The University of Turku is a firm member of the LERU group without charging exorbitant fees. Finnish students fare better in international teaching measurements than any one else in the world. Finns on average grow 7 years older than U.S citizens which is certainly indicating a strong healthcare system and their GDP per capita is 44000 thousand $ a year . Doesn’t seem like the lowest quality of life to me .

By that logic everybody who happens to come from the bible belt doesn’t matter either as they aren’t considered centres of arts and culture either. Quality of life is measured by income , crime levels , educational standards, life expectancy and not by the importance of a country. Just because nobody does live in flippin Lichtenstein it does not change the fact that their country is enjoying a high quality of life.
